Lumenart

The basic form of the building is a simple cube made out of bricks and concrete layered from the outside and the inside. The exhibition spaces required to showcase the light installations are accommodated in the basement. The studio is on the ground floor, and the space for lectures and studying is on the first floor.

External appearance of the building is dominated by sheet glass panels that do not follow the constructional logic of the house, nor the interior, but serve as a canvas that is quite visible during the day due to its whiteness within the colorful surroundings, and during the night, it becomes a canvas for light projections that are installed as a part of the facade. The house is attractive, but at the same time neutral enough to serve as a background to light who is her main inhabitant.
